I am super excited that it is our birthday! We are turning two today and, in some ways, it is really difficult for me to believe it has been two years since I made this transition from a more traditional coaching model in my business to one where we provide outsource services.
I thought now would be great to just spend some time reflecting on what led to this transition, why I decided to launch a sales agency and move away from what I had been doing in my business for many years, and what that now looks like for people that want to work with us because now it is more than just me (laughs).
One of the biggest reasons why I shifted my business was because I wanted to do something different. Through some conversations with my now counsel, I started thinking, “Something isn’t quite right; I love my business, my clients, and what I do” but I was feeling a little restless. I was doing this new thing on the side (kind of undercover) that I really didn’t talk a whole lot about. Then I was like, “Hmm, maybe…maybe…maybe not.” (Laughs) Well thankfully there were those people in my life that said, “You know what, how about you try this out? What would it look like if you were to make a big pivot in your business and do something a little different?”
The pivot was fueled by the fact that I was really tired of seeing the sales tactics that were being taught to people (which were taught to me as well) just did not resonate with me and caused a whole lot of drama in the early days of my business. I wasn’t selling because those sales tactics sucked. It was manipulation, flat-out lying, bullying, and no one really wanted to hear that. At least I didn’t, and I was finding more and more people were feeling that way. They just did not have the direction or the support.
So, one of the things that really makes the Doyenne Agency different in the marketplace is that we do not teach any of that. Our focus is on conversation-based sales. We are focused on building genuine, nurturing relationships and that is what moves people forward in making decisions in their business. We don’t believe in high-pressure sales tactics, manipulation, or mind games. No one has time for that.
It is really important because a lot of times people are taught a certain way and they think that is the only way to success. But I am here to tell you that you do not have to do it that way. On this website, you will learn more about what it is we do and how we serve clients. There are two primary buckets in the ways that we serve clients. We either do outsource or done-for-you sales support (a.k.a. we do the sales for you) or we do sales training.
For the outsource sales support, that could look one of two different way generally. One way is if you have an event online or in-person. Let’s say you are at a place in your business where you need ongoing sales support, our team can help you with that. The second way is if you already have a team, desire to have a team, or just need more support in figuring this out for yourself, then great! We also have sales training that can support you and/or your team.
